Start with the garage, not a tonnage guess.
Floor area is only part of the picture. Ceiling height, insulation, the garage door, afternoon sun and how often the door opens all influence the cooling load. We assess those details before recommending equipment.
Keep the installation practical.
Indoor airflow should reach the area you use without being blocked by storage or a garage door. Outdoor placement needs service access, appropriate clearances and a workable route for refrigerant lines and condensate drainage.
Know what the estimate includes.
Ask for the equipment, electrical circuit, line-set length, wall penetration, mounting, line covers and startup work in writing. Changes to electrical service or an unusually long route may change the final quote.
